Hong Kong Cafe in Lorton

I ate Chicken Wings and Fries from this place on 09/15/2017. I have been sick ever since. After two days that I could make out of bed and get dressed. I went down there. Demanded a refund. The guy presumably the owner did not want to give me my money back until I threatened to call the Health Inspectors. He hurried up and gave me my money. This a delivery spot in the Lorton VA area. Take my advice do not eat here. It is filthy, the floor was dirty, trash can area was dirty. They should be shut down. He put my refund on the counter when I had my hand extended out. I asked why did he do that. He said he didn't want to touch me. So now we have a bigger problem. The worse Chinese Food I have ever eaten in my life. Never been this sick.This establishment should be shut down completely!!!!

Called and ordered sesame chicken, pork/beef fried rice, and an egg roll for carry out. Everything was delicious!

Amazing Chinese food. Very generous portions. I recommend the szechuan tofu (mapo tofu) and shrimp with Broccoli. Best Chinese food in NoVa!!

I usually am not one to complain online, but this time I must. I ordered my food online at 4:22pm, 6/24/2018. I was given a pickup time of 4:48pm. Our food was not ready until well after 5:10. No big deal, I can understand things can take longer than expected. But when we our food home and opened the Chow Mein we were sorely disappointed. Not only were there NO NOODLES, the sauce itself was disgusting and bland. I really wanted to find a good Chinese spot close to my house, sadly this isn't it. I read the terrible reviews and still decided to give a local place a try as opposed to going to Panda Express. I wont make that mistake again.

Great food, but don't order if you're in a hurry. I've been waiting for over an hour for a *takeout* order... Unbelievable.

Egg drop soup was more like egg drop goop. Soup was so thick that it was more like a jelly ordered rolls, and there were shrimp in them.

They’re the better of Chinese food restaurants for takeout or delivery east of 95 in the Lorton area. There’s a difference between their orange chicken and general tsao. Also there crab rangoon is full of filling and isn’t over cooked. I haven’t had all their dish but the ones I have had were better then the surrounding Chinese restaurants. Of course I’m grading this one against your every day takeout Chinese restaurant and not P.F. Chang’s.

I only rate for best or worst quality. This was a new low point! We ordered for delivery. The restaurant truly dishonored us with the poor quality of the food. It was the worst food of any genre I have ever had. I make Chinese style food from time to time, and if I had served this food, I would be embarrassed. It tasted burnt and otherwise had no flavour whatsoever. My wife and I could not eat it and threw it out. Moreover, when I called to report the poor quality, the lady wanted to argue with me, saying that it could not all be bad, yet never spoke of making it right. This place gives Chinese a bad name.

Bad customer service. Attitudes from employees are not welcoming. I will not go back.

I have lunch delivered from this restaurant about 4 to 5 times a month. Their food is always hot, fresh and they deliver fast! Not only that, when you order online, you can note to reduce soy or use less oil or add extra whatever and they follow that instruction. I appreciate that their fried items always taste as if they were fried in fresh oil. Their special soup for two which has a wonderful broth, fresh vegeatbles and barbecued pork slices in it is wonderful. Try their chicken curry as well. I have never had anything from this restaurant that wasn't very good.

I've never even been in the store but they have some good sesame beef.

I went there for the first time and ordered two dishes, one for me and one for my boyfriend. There were only two other people in the restaurant. We ordered food to go and it took almost 40 minutes after the order was placed. Once we got our food it was terribly over salted and was not worth the wait. Sadly, this first visit will be the only visit I have with Hong Kong Cafe.

After ordering at this restaurant the food was in very tiny portions way less than you would expect for their prices after I paid for my food and was leaving the restaurant one of the waitresses ran out and said my pay did not include a tip chase me out to the sidewalk I thought that was horrible would not come again

Best Chinese delivery in the area. Everything tastes home made not the usual stuff most of the delivery places use.

This restaurant customer service is horrible do not eat here. This is one of the worst places to eat in Lorton. My food was to salty and very messy when I tried to call and get it exchanged the person on the other end would not accommodate me. The worst Chinese food ever. Do not eat here!!!

They do a good job. The food is good. The people are pleasant.Their restaurant in Kingstown, the Kumo Bistro is top notch.

Average Tasting Chinese, I would only want to carry out. The dining area has no real place for carry out guess to sit. So they sit near you while your dining in. And the kitchen is extremely loud, wide open.

My wife accidentally threw away the menu for the new Chinese restaurant that delivers locally I thought maybe it was Hong Kong cafe I got the chicken chow mein there wasn't even two pieces of chicken it was all cut up in little shreds it was horrible sorry but I need to find out what that other restaurant was I wish I had done a review so I can find it

I told my friends about this place with my warmest recommendations. I visit this restaurant often. I get very good feedback from my friends. The the cooking is great and the crew is efficient and cooperative. always when we visit this place we pass a lovely time. highly recommended.

I was happy to be able to place my order online and received my delivery in a timely manner. I was really disappointed to find that the food was flavorless. Couldn't taste a thing at all. Had to add my own seasoning to eat it. Truely a let down.

Wow 20 minutes after eating and I'm compelled to do what I normally don't do and post my review.This was so great, to start my phone order was ready just prior to my arrival 13 minutes after calling. Got home food was still hot and so delicious. The portions looks are deceiving. Good things come from small looking packages. There was nothing small about the portions and defiantly not the taste.All the food was fresh and made from scratch and by great chiefs, and the meat was so tender both the beef in the beef fried rice and the chicken in the sesame chicken.

I placed a pick up order of hot and sour soup on Monday Sept.25,. 2017 at exactly 9:08pm. The guy that answer the call said it was going to take 10 mins for the soup to be ready. It was fine and dandy to me, not until I finally came in paid for it. And this was 9:27 pm when I walk in. I still waited for the soup that was being heated in the microwave 😬😣🤨🙄. I was not even gonna give any star, but it is the only way I can right out my experience.

I have ordered from Hong Kong Cafe a few times now. I've had pleasant service speedy delivery and fantastic food! Keep up the good work. You have the best Hot and Sour soup!

It's pretty good Chinese takeout. You can order through the phone or online. Their kung pao chicken is delicious. I also really like the Salt and Pepper shrimp, and their boneless spare ribs lunch special is also really good.

Not as good as the other local chinese takeouts near me.
